Ryan W. Lockhart

Ryan William Lockhart age 35, of Canton, Michigan, tragically passed away far too soon on July 26, 2025. Ryan was born to William and Carolyn Lockhart, and grew up in Southeast Michigan surrounded by the love and guidance of many, including his Uncle David Rogers, Aunt Erin Rogers, Aunt Kim Cannell, Tim and Debra Story, and Don and Terri Keski-Hynnila. He graduated from John Glenn High School in 2008 and later pursued trade school, where he built upon his natural talent for working with his hands. Ryan was a beloved son, brother, cousin, friend, and above all, father. He leaves behind many who will miss him dearly: his sisters Nicole (Jeremy) Gauci and Crystal (Brandon) Sandusky; nieces and nephews Gabrielle (“Gabby-goo”), Owen (“Owie”), and Isabelle (“Izzy”); cousins John, Stephanie, and Ashley; and countless extended family and friends. Most profoundly, he leaves behind his son and “bud,” Eli Lockhart. Those who knew Ryan will remember his sense of humor, kind heart, creativity, and hardworking nature. He enjoyed being outside, his animals, and dabbling in different hobbies. Ryan reliably showed up; for work, for his sisters and friends, and for his son. Ryan was devoted, tender, and unwavering in his love for Eli. His presence made life brighter for those around him, and his absence leaves an ache beyond measure. Though his passing leaves us with broken hearts, we take comfort in knowing Ryan is now with his father, William Lockhart Jr., and his beloved cousin, Joe Leschinski, watching over us. Visitation Friday, August 1st 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West, (between Sheldon and Beck), Plymouth Funeral Service Saturday, August 2nd 11:00 AM also at the funeral home.
