Larry James Glinski

Larry Glinski, 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from complications after a fall. He was surrounded by loving family members during his transition. Larry worked over 30 years at the Rawsonville Ford Plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He was a devoted son to the late Felix and Kathryn Glinski, and brother to Betty (Chuck) Moser, Glenn Glinski, and Bonnie (Doug) Good. Larry cherished his friendships and social activity routines - Breakfast at George's in Westland, his weekly Taco Tuesday and Fish Friday events and hosting the Wednesday Coffee Club where 'the guys' would try to solve the world's problems. Larry was a steadfast fixture at the First Congregational Church of Wayne. He had an eye for knowing just what needed to be done and followed through with humble execution, never desiring any recognition. He continued serving outside the church for anyone in need - shopping for groceries, shuttling to doctor's visits, bringing in/sorting rummage, setting up and tearing down events, or just sitting and listening. An unending list by a true Christian servant. Larry was a gentle soul, adoring the little ones. He would often bring small gifts to local nieces, nephews and his sister. Seeing them happy made him happy. Larry enjoyed music, with the radio station permanently set to 90.9 WRCJ classical music. He never missed a piano recital, concert, play, or family event. He loved his family! Larry is uncle to Kristen, Kelly, Matt, Brandon, Scott, Matthew, Tina, Tracey, Julie and Michelle. He has 15 great nieces and nephews. Larry was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and was excited for this year's hot season. Maybe he'll have the best seat in the house as an Angel in the Outfield. He was a giver and will be deeply missed. Larry made a difference. Visitation Friday, June 27th 1 - 8 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 980 N. Newburgh Road (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill) Westland. In state Saturday, June 28th from 10 AM until the 11 AM Funeral Service at First Congregational Church of Wayne, 2 Towne Square Street, Wayne. Interment at Michigan Memorial Park in Huron Township, Michigan. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the First Congregational Church of Wayne, 2 Towne Square Street, Wayne MI 48184.
