Victor John Gonzales June 24, 1975 – September 24, 2025 Victor John Gonzales, beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Sept. 24 at his home in Plymouth after a courageous battle with illness. He was 50 years old. Vic's life was defined by quiet strength, deep devotion to his family and friends, and a sharp, dry wit that brought smiles to all who knew him. He had a reserved nature but also a warm and playful side he shared with those closest to him, especially his wife, Lirio, and daughter, Anna. Victor and Lirio married on Oct. 11, 2003, in the bride's native Mexico followed by a celebration in Vic's home state of Pennsylvania. Their greatest blessing, Anna, joined them four years later. The Gonzales homestead was filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising a wonderful daughter, of whom Vic was intensely proud. Vic was a loving father and a deeply devoted husband. He treasured every moment with his family, from enjoying the outdoor tranquility of his adopted Michigan, to cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies, to capturing everyday beauty through his photography. The Gonzales family are travelers, and Vic visited 48 states in his life. Victor, Lirio, and Anna often drove long distances to visit loved ones in Pennsylvania and Mexico and jaunted around the country to support Anna's musical gifts. Vic enjoyed summers at his grandparents' home in New Hampshire and being a part of the crew of parents who built props and cheered on Anna's Marching Band and Winter Percussion group. Vic was renowned for his sense of humor, and always had perfect timing. He had a brilliant mind and was the sort of person you could always count on: steady, thoughtful, and ready to lend a hand without hesitation. Whether he was fixing something around the house, talking through a complex problem, or just sitting quietly enjoying the outdoors, Victor had a calm, grounding presence that brought comfort to those around him. Victor John Gonzales was born to John and Lorraine Gonzales on June 24, 1975, at Rolling Hill Hospital in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. Vic spent his childhood in Croydon, Pennsylvania, with his parents and his siblings, Sharon and Jason. After graduating with distinction from Bishop Egan High School in 1993, Vic earned a degree at the College of New Jersey and pursued a career in Industrial Engineering with passion and purpose. Vic fulfilled a lifelong dream in 2000, when he became an engineer at Ford Motor Co. in Dearborn. He began his professional journey at Air Cruisers in Wall Township, New Jersey, and advanced it at General Motors in Wilmington, Delaware. Victor is survived by his wife and daughter, Lirio and Anna; his parents, John and Lorraine of Croydon; his sister, Sharon (Tom) South of Levittown, Pennsylvania; and his brother, Jason (Gerri), nephew Marcus, and niece Skylar of Morrisville, Pennsylvania. Vic leaves behind a legacy of quiet kindness, unwavering love, and a life lived with humility, humor, and heart. Victor will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him.
