Teresita “Tess” Jesena, September 17, 2024 age 86 of West Bloomfield. Loving wife of 30 years to the late Rhode M. Jesena. Beloved and devoted mother of Emilio Jesena, Maria (Matt) Schroeder, Jenny (Mark) Matten, and Rhode (Carrie) Jesena. Proud and loving Lola (grandmother) of Joe Matten, Mark Matten, Nicole Schroeder, and Catherine Jesena. Dear sister of the late Zenaida, the late Antonio, Maximiano, the late Violetta, the late Eduardo, Dinah and George. From the Philippines to the United States, Tess shared her incredible generosity, positive outlook, caring nature, and love of family, friends, and delicious food. With her dedication to helping others in her over 40 year career as a nurse, "Terry," as she was known at work, was a skilled and trusted Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA-University of Michigan). Terry trained other nurses and new doctors and worked most prominently at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. Botsford's medical staff became a second family to her and Botsford became a second home where she was always treated with respect, care, and love. The Jesena family is grateful to all of Teresita's friends and family who have shared their love and support with her throughout the years. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West (between Sheldon and Beck) Plymouth. A rosary service will be held on Friday evening, time to be announced. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday September 28th 11:00 AM, lying in state starting at 10:30 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 44800 Warren Road, Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tess’ memory may be made to the Blessed Solanus Casey Center. Inspired by the life and example of our brother, Blessed Solanus Casey, this Center strives to be a place of pilgrimage, healing, reconciliation and peace.
