Rose Apple, February 15, 2026 age 84 of Novi. Beloved wife of the late Frank Bailey. Loving mother of Tammy (Bob) Doroshewitz and Jeff (Alesha) Apple. Proud grandmother of Allison and RJ Doroshewitz, and Carly, Erin, and Brian Apple. Dear sister of the late Alice (John) Dorian and the late Joe (Dorothy) Piligian. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Rose was born December 22, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Hachadour and Arevalous Piligian. She was a proud first-generation Armenian American and the youngest of three siblings. She graduated from Cooley High School in 1960 and went on to earn her secretarial certification from the Detroit College of Business. Her first job was with Ford Motor Company, working in the Glass House. She married John Apple in 1961, and soon after welcomed her two children. When her children were in school full-time, Rose returned to the workforce. She served as an executive secretary at Palmer-Shile Manufacturing and later worked for Dr. Hess at Ward Church. She concluded her professional career at the VistaTech Center at Schoolcraft College. A longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Farmington and later Ward Church in Northville, Rose’s faith was an important part of her life and the center of her community. Rose’s marriage to John ended in 1996, but she found love again with Frank Bailey, whom she met through Ward Church. They shared nearly 20 years together before Frank’s unexpected passing. Rose found great joy in traveling and exploring, as well as in simple pleasures like going to the movies, dining out, playing games on her iPad, and trying her luck at the occasional slot machine. She was a gracious hostess who cherished time spent with family and friends and loved bringing people together around her table. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 19, from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West (between Sheldon and Beck), Plymouth. In state Friday, February 20, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service at Ward Church, 40000 Six Mile Road, Northville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; Ward Church, 40000 Six Mile Road, Northville Township, MI 48168; or Hank’s Heroes Dog Rescue, 14563 Lincoln Road, Monroe, MI 48161.
