Randolph P. Vilches

Randolph Pechuanco Vilches, peacefully passed away on January 2, 2025 at the age of 78 in Canton, MI. He was born in Jaro, Iloilo, Philippines to his late father and mother Justino & Gloria Vilches. Randolph is survived by his loving wife Cecilia along with his children Justin, John, Mark, Randolph Jr. and Sarah. He was blessed with three grandchildren – Kaehli, Eliyanah and Elise and was a dear brother to Melvin, Sharon, and Dr. Melody Vilches. Also survived by many loving aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces as well as others who called him Dad. Randolph graduated top 10 of his class from the University of Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He achieved professional success through hard work and God given talents. He worked in the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand (where he met Cecilia Garduque who was working at Siam Trade), Iran (where they married on August 1, 1976), Oman, and China. Randolph and his family finally settled in the United States where he worked various jobs until finding Walbridge Aldinger as a Technical Lead Engineer. There he would finish his career until he retired in 2015. Upon retirement he spent most of his time in the Philippines where he did projects, but primarily served the Lord by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He shared the importance of marriage and family matters. He was a member of Christ Commission Fellowship. Rich or poor, young or old, he showered love to everyone he met by helping in any way he could. He was respected and admired by those who knew him for he was honest, compassionate, generous, a man of his word, gentle, selfless and a father to all. Randolph was a simple man who did everything to the best of his ability and sacrificed everything for his family. Favorite Bible Verse: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” The celebration of his full and Holy Spirit-filled life will begin with visitation on Thursday, January 9th 3 PM - 8 PM, and Friday, January 10th 3 PM until the 6 PM Funeral Service at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West (between Sheldon and Beck) Plymouth.
