Patrick A. Hales

Patrick Alexander Hales, born on January 29, 1964, to Pierre G. Hales and Barbara J. (Toth) Hales. Patrick is survived by wife Judith J. Hales and brother Christopher G. Hales (Laura). Patrick passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the age of 61, due to a series of illnesses stemming from kidney disease. He fought hard to stay with us and, in his short life, was able to love much and enjoy living. Patrick grew up in Dearborn, Michigan, and graduated from Dearborn High School. He took several college courses but ultimately got into the home title industry, where he worked most of his adult life as a title examiner. Patrick enjoyed playing baseball, bowling, and golf. His family were avid golfers, and golf was a big part of his life. He and Judi were engaged on a golf course in Mount Pleasant and were married on the first tee at Dearborn Hills Golf Course on September 20, 1996. It was a perfect day for an outdoor wedding. Patrick and Judi started attending church together in 1998 and first got involved in the kids' quizzing ministry, then it opened the door to the joy of serving and leading different ministries through the years, including running church golf leagues. Patrick also served on the church board as well as the daycare board. He loved serving in ministry and his church family. Patrick was one of the sweetest, kindest souls you will ever meet. He was quiet until he got to know you, and then he could talk your ear off. He didn't have any enemies because he always wanted to help people in any way he could. As his illness took over his body, the ministries subsided, and it always frustrated him that he was too weak or sick to help like he used to. He never stopped loving people and praying for people, though. Patrick will be missed tremendously by Judi and Chris and also by all of his extended family, friends, and coworkers. Please remember them all in prayer. Patrick's Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, on what would be their 29th Anniversary.
