Cygan, Martin J., July 30, 2023 age 79 of Plymouth. In loving memory of a remarkable man, Martin Cygan, age 79, of Plymouth, Michigan. Marty lived his life with profound kindness, empathy, and love, unwavering faith, and a strong devotion to family. His legacy will forever touch the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come. Beloved husband of Linda for 57 years. Martin was a devoted father to Marc Cygan and his wife Christine, Michele Moriarty and her husband Dennis, and Michael Cygan and his wife Kimberly. As a proud Papa, he cherished his grandchildren: Morgan Cygan, Caitlin Moriarty, Patrick Moriarty, Brett Cygan, Christian Cygan, Colin Moriarty, Garrett Cygan, Caroline Cygan, and Michael Cygan. Martin was a dear brother to Mary Fischer and preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Cygan and Frank Cygan. A man of athletic and academic achievement, Martin was a football player at Xavier and graduate of John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and earned an MBA from University of Detroit. He dedicated over 30 years of his professional life to Ford Motor Company, where he excelled as an honorable global executive in Finance. Visitation is on Friday, August 4th from 4 to 6 pm at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West (between Sheldon and Beck), Plymouth, Michigan. Lying in state Saturday, August 5th at 9:30 am, until the 10:30 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 47650 North Territorial Road, Plymouth, Michigan. Following mass, all are welcomed to join us for the burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 W. 10 Mile Road, Southfield, Michigan.
