Margaret Arnett Bender

Bender, Margaret Arnett age 43 of Plymouth, October 19, 2004. Beloved wife of William. Dear mother of Thomas and Alex. Beloved daughter of Larry and Mary Arnett. Dear sister of Charlie and Roger Arnett. Margaret was born in Detroit on January 31, 1961, and was raised in Wayne, Michigan, where she and her family have been lifelong members of First Congregational Church of Wayne. Margaret attended Schweitzer Elementary School in Wayne; Adlai Stevenson Junior High; and graduated from John Glenn High School in 1979. She has an Accounting Degree from Oakland University, where she met her husband William when they lived in the same co-ed dorm. They were married in December of 1991, in a small ceremony with family and close friends. She has been working side by side with William in their chiropractic office, using her accounting skills in her position of Office Manager. Margaret and William have two wonderful sons, Thomas and Alex. Some her fondest memories have to do with the home births of her boys. Margaret has provided a wonderful family life for her children, spending time at the family cottage, swimming and sailing, camping and fishing. Margaret has been a member of the American Sewing Guild-Western Wayne County; The Detroit Gun Club; the Daughters of the American Revolution; and has taken training to become a licensed private airplane pilot. She had also been a dancer, taking part in several ballet recitals. Margaret enjoyed a good steak! And her favorite place to get that steak was at Mr. Paul's Steak House in Clinton Township. Her family and friends will most remember Margaret for her strength and determination, her courage and her optimism. She will be missed. The family will receive guests during a time of visitation on Thursday 3 - 9 PM at Vermeulen Trust 100 Funeral Home, 46401 West Ann Arbor Road, Plymouth (between Sheldon and Beck.) Margaret will be in state Friday at 9:00 AM until funeral service at 10:00 AM at First Congregational Church of Wayne, 2 Towne Square, Wayne (off Michigan Avenue, corner of Wayne Road.)
