Bohl, Marcia Kay - May 15, 2023 age 88 of Canton. Beloved wife of the late William Bohl. Loving mother of Timothy (Lois) Bohl, Michelle (Steven) Schrader, and the late Jeffrey Bohl. Proud grandmother of Erin Tardif, Heidi Schultz, Matthew Bohl, Sarah (Eric Chen) Schrader, Michael (Sara Halcomb) Schrader, Rita Schrader, Alex Schrader, and the late Christine Bohl. Dear great-grandmother of Cole, Cade, Cort, and Lily. Loving sister of Alan (Susie) Woodworth and Barbara Hardy. Proud aunt of several nieces and nephews. Dear friend to Victor and Joshua Williams. Marcia graduated from Plymouth High School in 1952 and married her high school sweetheart, Bill Bohl shortly after. They enjoyed more than sixty years of adventures together. Marcia worked at West Middle School in Plymouth for thirty four years. She consistently went above and beyond when helping teachers and students. She was proud of being formally recognized for her hard work when she received the “Extra Miler” award from the school board. The many students she ‘adopted’ throughout the years would remember her as a fun, warm and caring person they could count on. When she wasn’t at work, or supporting the various endeavors of her family members, Marcia’s time was spent pursuing her passion for dance. Dance in various forms was always a part of her life. She started training in ballet, tap, and jazz when she was quite young. She was proud to have achieved Cecchetti certification in ballet through the Sylvia Hamer School of Dance in Ann Arbor. To help pay for her many lessons and costumes, Marcia taught dance to several groups of beginning students. She arranged fun and elaborate recitals and even performed in many of them herself. As a teenager, she won several medals for her skill in pairs roller skating. Later, she and Bill enjoyed square and round dancing together. She loved line dancing with her friends and continued dancing several times a week right up until January of this year. Marcia attended Northridge Church, where she volunteered by preparing mailings for prisoners and bulletins for services. Her favorite position, though, was acting as a greeter, warmly and enthusiastically welcoming each person who entered through her door. Marcia’s endless energy and passion will be missed by all who knew her. For those who knew her well and miss her the most, it takes only a moment of reflection to picture her as she is now, dancing gracefully in Heaven. Visitation Thursday, June 1st, beginning at 10:30am, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West (between Sheldon and Beck) Plymouth.
