Judith (Judy) Lee Flower

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Judith Lee Flower, affectionately known as Judy, on March 11, 2024. Born on September 19, 1942, to Martha and Bruno Miller in Dearborn, MI, Judy's love for life was as vibrant as her favorite color, purple. After completing her senior year of high school, Judy earned a position at Ford Motor Company. It was during this chapter that she met the love of her life, Joseph Flower. The couple were married in 1961 and enjoyed 58 adventurous years of marriage. Their union blossomed into a beautiful family, gracing the world with three remarkable children: Jodie Flower, Jalenne (David) Timmis, and Joseph (Katherine) Flower. Their home, crafted by Joe's hands, was filled with the joy of their shared moments, and lives on through her son Joseph Flower and his family. Judy and Joe's love extended through the generations, embracing their six cherished grandchildren - Hailey, Josey, Dylan, Amanda, Joseph III, and Sean. An avid member of the Thursday night league at Westland Bowl, Judy's passion for life extended beyond the lanes. She possessed a unique fashion sense, always wearing bright red lipstick and incorporating purple into every outfit. Judy was also a skilled pool player, indulging her love for the game at the Moose Lodge. But above all, she loved her siblings - Patricia (the late Damian) Muniz, Sherry (Bob) Early, Bonnie (Donald) Reynolds, and her younger brother, Bruno (Linda) Miller. She always looked forward to their annual motorcycle trips, full of cherished memories and adventure. Judy possessed many wonderful talents. She was really good with her hands, making cozy, knitted gifts for each new family member. She'd whip up hats, booties, and blankets, adding a personal purple touch to each one. Every holiday was an occasion for Judy to host, putting together homemade dishes for her family which incorporated her abundant love and care. Judy had a passion for dancing and prided herself on being the number one fan of her sister’s band, Bonnie and the Working Girls. Also a voracious reader, Judy immersed herself in books, eager to explore new worlds. On March 11, 2024, Judy was joyfully reunited with her beloved husband and best friend, Joe Flower, at the Pearly Gates of Heaven. An adventurous spirit, Judy embraced life with a willingness to try new things, mirroring the companionship she shared with Joe. May their spirits find eternal peace; and may the memories of their enduring love continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing them.
