Jayantilal L. Patel SEPTEMBER 27, 1925 – JANUARY 2, 2024 A man of fortitude, dignity, strength, and love. “We’ll always hold you close in our hearts, Dada, with deep affection, treasuring the loving memories. May your soul rest in eternal peace!” - Grandkids and Great Grandkids It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father Jayantilal Patel on January 2, 2024. He was a loving, caring, and devoted husband, and inspirational father who instilled the values of good deeds every moment. He is survived by two sons, Vinay and Raju, and daughter-in-laws Alka and Sneha; daughters Dina, Shabrina, Suketa, and son-in-laws Vinayak, Mukesh, and Paresh along with twelve grandkids and nine great grandkids. Our Dad gave unconditional love to all the family members, and was blessed to receive love from his grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved their Dada and cared for his wellbeing by devoting time to visit from their busy schedules. He firmly believed knowledge and education were foundation of life. Along with wife Kailashben, he raised six children. He worked hard and gave his children a wonderful life filled with love. Outside of spending time with family, he enjoyed travel, sports, cooking, teaching, reading, and joking around, and making others laugh. Even during his last days with no water or food intake, he requested that all his grandkids should get together for dinner that evening and he will pay for it. He was born in the Borsad, a village of Gujarat, India in 1925. After completing his education, he started working in the railroad system, working his way up through integrity, commitment, and devotion to become Chief Inspector at Vadodara. He was born with outstanding persuasive leadership skills, which helped him accomplish many difficult tasks. His social commitment was remarkable as well. He participated in India’s freedom movement under Shri. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and played a major role to bring “Baroda Express” train for Vadodara while associated closely with Railway minister Mr. Madhu Dandavete- railway minister at the time. His legacy lives on through the wisdom he imparted and the countless lives he touched. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the incredible person he was, and cherish his memories. May his soul find eternal peace, and may we carry his legacy forward, honoring the values he held and instilled in all of us.
