Janice C. Stankiewicz

Janice C. "Jan" Stankiewicz, age 81, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, in Olympia, Washington. Born on July 14, 1944, in Monroe, Michigan, Jan was the beloved daughter of Roy Gerard Cady and Frances Pollins. She was a proud graduate of Huron High School in New Boston, Michigan, and later attended Cleary College. Jan spent the majority of her professional life working as a Program Manager at Ford Motor Company, where she built a long and successful career marked by dedication and leadership. On June 18, 1995, she married the love of her life, Don Stankiewicz, at St. Stephen’s in New Boston, MI. They shared many wonderful years together before Don’s passing. A woman of deep faith, Jan was a devoted member of OLGC (Our Lady of Good Counsel) parish. She was also active in the OLGC Rosary Group, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, and several bereavement and community organizations, including Vermeulen and Manna Community Meals. Jan found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time with her family, golfing, traveling, reading, working on puzzles, and taking casino trips. Jan was a loving stepmother to Jeff, Mike (AnnMarie), and Kurt (Michele), and a cherished grandmother to Zared (Kate), Adam, Keegan, Kara (Jon), and Stevie. She was blessed to welcome a great-grandchild, Ventri, into the family. She is survived by her siblings: Dave (Betty) Cady, Bob (Kathy) Cady, and Greg (Patti) Cady, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Paul and Barb. Jan’s family extends heartfelt thanks to all who supported and loved her throughout her life. In state Friday, October 10th 10:30 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road, Plymouth, MI 48170.
