Herron, (née Cipriani) Elizabeth Marie (Bette) December 10,2021,Age 91 of Canton. Beloved wife of the late James. Loving mother of Denise (Kenneth) Bear, Colleen (Steven) Chase and James R. Herron. Dearest sister of Kathleen (Murray) McLeod, and the late James (Barbara) Cipriani. Cherished grandmother (Nana) of Casey (Kari) Bear, Brandon (Chaney) Bear, Brianne (Matthew) Naudi, Kendall (Michael) Brocavich, Raleigh Herron, Lara (Vincent) Gusty, Alana (Matthew) TerBush, and Shelby (Daniel) Beard. Proud great-grandmother of Charlie, Gracie, Dempsey, Calista, Charlotte, Andi, Rigby, Keira, Bodhi and Ethan. “Nana” was adored by her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and dozens of cousins. She will be sorely missed by her many, many friends and “partners in crime”. Everyone who met her was immediately drawn to her spunky, fun-loving spirit. Family and friends meant the world to “Bette Boop”. Each would hear stories of her Grande Dames, Griswold family adventures, and family traditions far too numerous to mention. “Cousin Bette” was extremely proud of starting her Cipriani Family Reunion with her Uncle Tony nearly 60 years ago. The stories and memories shared at these special gatherings will live on forever. She also treasured her experiences serving as a school secretary for the Wayne-Westland School District. She quickly learned who really keeps a school running smoothly...Despite being a widow for 26 years, Elizabeth, Bette, Betz, Nana, Boop, lived life to the fullest every day of her life. The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, January 11, 2021 from 1-9 p.m. at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Rd. W, in Plymouth (between Sheldon and Beck Road). Memorial Gathering on Wednesday, January 12, 2021 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 47650 N. Territorial Road in Plymouth at 9:30 a.m. until her Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. Following the mass her family welcomes all to join them for a luncheon locally. Interment will be in the spring at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
