Alyssa Megan Bachert

Alyssa Megan Bachert, age 34, of Tipton, MI, previously of Plymouth, MI, went peacefully to be with the Lord on April 24, 2021, surrounded by those she loved the most. She was born on November 17, 1986 in Dallas, Texas. She is the beloved daughter to Kevin and Rebecca Bachert, loving sister to Jenna (Joseph) Cairo and Nathan Bachert, precious aunt to Audrey and Gianna Cairo, dear granddaughter to Janet McDonald, and girlfriend to the love of her life, Brian Lauer. Lyss also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, many close friends, and her honorary nieces and nephews. Alyssa attended school at Faith Lutheran in Plano, Texas, St. Paul’s Lutheran in Northville, Michigan and graduated from Lutheran High School Westland in 2005. After graduating from Eastern Michigan University in 2009, she went on to utilize her degree as a Recreational Therapist. What she loved most about working in various assisted living centers, was the people she cared for on a daily basis. After “retiring” she never played Bingo again. To those who knew Alyssa, they would describe her as the ultimate warrior. She overcame countless obstacles since her diagnosis over 10 years ago that no one should ever have had to endure. Her perseverance and strength helped her to not only fight off her illnesses, but do so with resilience and a positive attitude. Most of the time, no one would have even known what she was facing day to day. Alyssa’s wild spirit and contagious laugh brought joy to any room she walked into. She always put others before herself, even if she was having a bad day. Her true gift was making people feel good about themselves and just being a listening ear to those that needed to talk or a shoulder to cry on. Her spunky attitude often put a new spin on life for others to see, and she made people feel important and special. Her dog Lucy was her loyal companion and loved her dearly. Alyssa’s love for her nieces was unconditional and it was a beautiful sight to see. She was a staple at Evans Lake, and on any day, you could see her riding a jet-ski, paddle boarding, kayaking, or playing corn hole; she was always up for fun. She loved playing games and mastered quite a few, most notably Mexican Train. She enjoyed telling stories, watching murder mysteries and going on adventures with her "sisters". She was the candy queen and we could always count on her for packing good snacks wherever she went. She will be missed so dearly, and a hole will live in our hearts forever. We find peace knowing she is no longer in pain up with our Lord, Jesus Christ, but there is just never enough time. We love you Aly Mae and you will live in our hearts forever. Rest In Peace, beautiful girl. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Rd. West, Plymouth, MI 48170 (between Sheldon and Beck Rd). In state will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 11:00 AM, located at Covenant Church, 5290 Milwaukee Rd, Tecumseh, MI 49286. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery, 501 N. Union St. Tecumseh, MI 49286 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Care Pregnancy Center of Lenawee, 308 N.
